Great Outdoors Itinerary

For Youth Groups



7-8 a.m., Breakfast at hotel.

8:30-9:30 a.m., Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area – This is a beautiful place to get close to nature. Spacious wildlife refuge features swampy nature walks, a winding boardwalk through a natural environment and a 54-foot observation tower for a bird’s eye view of the surrounding wetlands.

10 a.m.-noon, Fish at Ulmers Pond – Reel in a variety of fish, including crappie, largemouth bass, gar, bullhead, catfish, smallmouth bass, bream and bluegill.

12:30-2 p.m., Lunch at Rainwater Conference Center – This is private dining with no lines, no waiting, great atmosphere and great food, drinks and dessert are included. Enjoy our chef's choice selections,  all plentiful and super good!

2:30 p.m., Wild Adventures Theme Park & Splash Island Waterpark – Enjoy all the rides, games and water fun. Stay late, have dinner at the ‘all-you-can-eat concert buffet’ and enjoy a concert. *Concerts are seasonal*


7-8 a.m., Breakfast at hotel.

8:30-11:30 a.m., Upward Way Adventures – This is a great place for team building while having fun in the sun. There is a choice of adventure that includes high and low elements to custom fit a specific need, rope courses and challenge courses. They are fully equipped with a pool, 600 ft. zip line, 45 ft. rock climbing wall, 40 ft. giant swing and cat walk. There is also an entire area for archery lovers.

Noon-1:30 p.m., Lunch at Ole Times Country Buffet – This Southern cooking restaurant offers a wide selection of food made from the highest quality products available in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

2-4 p.m., Valdosta Wake Compound – Features of the park set it apart from the rest. Original obstacles are designed and built by wakeboarders and wakeskaters. The full cable is the first in the country to contain a “natural” (land) pool gap. Everything on the full cable is designed and built with a “safety first” mentality. Whether a beginner or expert rider, a wakeskater or wakeboarder, this full cable fun is designed for everyone.
